Biographical Note: Francis A. Litz was an author and professor of English. He was born in Baltimore MD in 1892 and educated in the local Catholic schools, St. Charles College and St. Mary's Seminary. He received the Ph. D. from The Johns Hopkins University in 1918 and remained there as associate professor in the English department until 1924. Litz taught English in the public school system, 1924-1937, and afterwards was appointed to the faculty at Catholic University, 19...
